Well first off kayla look beautiful. She shows true modesty through her picture because she barely wears any makeup and it only shows her from the neck up. this gives her a look of sophistication and class and i think that this is what kayla will be like her senior year.

In reply to this, I would like to say that I have a few ideas as to what the pearl earring represents in the story. First off I think that in a way it is a symbol of wealth, even though griet is not wealthy.. she still is intelligent and could easily be a wealthy woman. This might also show feminism, because she has all her hair covered up and a very neutral tone to her face, and the earring let the viewers of the painting know that she is a woman, a beautiful and wealthy woman. That  is how I believe the pearl earring is symbolized.

My photo shows how I view myself in 4 years. Over these next four years I want to continue to be a part of Jackson School for the Arts. Music is my life, it is all I have ever wanted to do. I was never the sporty girl, or the smartest one in class, I was the creative one, who sang in talent shows, made posters, and wrote short stories instead of playing kick ball at recess. I am not positive what I want to do when I am older, I am positive that I want to work with music. I took this "senior picture" with my piano in the background, to represent my "musical background" get it? I thought it was funny.. In four years I hope to be a graduating student from JSA, I want to go to NYU, I am leaning towards a major in musical education, but I have four years to figure that out. This is an identity project, expressing who we are through a picture. Well, my identity is the arts, music is who I am.
